Temple Maintenance
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? (1 Cor. 6:19)
Health Tips: Be Conscience

Does my conduct or choice glorify the Lord
-
Could my action or attitude negativity impact my Christian testimony
-
Be empathetic/Show empathy
Conscience is a term that describes an aspect of a human being's self-awareness. Conscience also provides a sense of pleasure when we reflect on conformity to our value system.
Consciousness of life was of a relationship between God and a covenant community rather than an autonomous self-awareness between a person and his or her world.
Everything we do should be done to the glory of God. And whether we find ourselves to be alone or in the company of others, whether we are thrust into the business of every-day life or quietly confined to the isolation of a sick-bed, our attitudes and actions should be such that they are a positive reflection of God's glory.
But there is a further reason that whatever we do should be done to the glory of God, and this verse reminds us that it is connected with a loving concern for others. Brothers and sisters in Christ who are weaker in the faith may find that their consciences prohibit them from practicing something which, although quite 'lawful', could cause them to stumble in their Christian life.

How important that we who have a clear conscience in such issues, should not flaunt our freedom in Christ in such a way that it causes them to stumble or to become confused in their Christian walk, and so we read that even in this: "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

Whether immersed in the drudgery of daily chores, quietly watching the tv, or scrolling through the internet, we should do all to the glory of God. Whatever we do during the day and whatever activities we engage in during the nighttime hours, all should be carried out for His praise and glory. If we find ourselves in difficulties or when we are engaged in some leisure time, it should always be glorifying to the Lord.
Whether we find ourselves in the first flush of youth or if we have advanced into the twilight years of old age, ALL that we are, and all the choices we make should be for His glory. All the thoughts of our minds and all the motives of our hearts should be an open book so that when observed by others, our life proclaims ALL to the glory of God.
Perhaps a simple way to avoid falling into legalism or license, is to follow Paul's simple instruction to do everything to the glory of God; to reverently and honestly ask the question, 'Is my behaviour honouring to Him? Do my actions and attitude bring glory to God, or am I tarnishing His holy name?'
May we take to heart this simple instruction from Paul, that whether we eat, or drink, or whatever we do, we do all to the glory of God.

Recipe of the Month: Maple Roasted Pumpkin with Feta and Chili
Ingredients:
Pumpkin
Maple syrup
Dried chili flakes
Red onions
Walnuts
Chili
Danish feta
Parsley

Direction:
-
Cut the pumpkin in 2.5cm/1″ cubes. To do this I cut into 2.5cm/1″ slices first. Using a rocking motion as you slice down helps make this easy.

-
Cut the skin off.

-
Then cut into cubes
-
Pile onto a large paper lined tray with the onion slices and walnuts. Toss with olive oil, maple syrup, salt and chilli flakes then spread it out. The more space between the pumpkin, the better. If the pumpkin is too cluttered, it will stew and go mushy instead of caramelising.
-
Roast for 30 minutes, tossing once at the 20 minute mark, until the pumpkin is light golden and cooked through. You won’t get intense golden colour on the surface, not like plain roast pumpkin cubes (such as in this recipe), because the maple syrup will burn on the edges of the cubes before the surface goes completely golden.
-
Also, the onion will get quite dark brown. If you notice at the tossing point that it’s getting a little too brown, just push/pile them all together or bury under pumpkin. This will protect them!
-
Finishing – Give the pumpkin a gently toss to coat it in all the tasty tray juices. Then transfer to a serving platter – single layer is nice for even sprinkling coverage and neat presentation. Sprinkle with fresh chilli, feta and parsley, then serve!
